We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Rota Manager to oversee staff scheduling across multiple hospital sites in South Wales. This key role ensures safe staffing levels and continuity of care.
Working closely with the Hospital Director and various care teams, you\’ll manage rotas to meet patient needs, staff availability, and compliance requirements. This is a fast-paced, people-focused role ideal for someone with strong planning skills and a background in healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage rotas for care staff across multiple sites and services.
• Ensure rotas meet staffing levels in line with care plans, regulatory standards, and service demand.
• React quickly to last-minute changes, such as sickness or emergency cover.
• Liaise with service managers and HR to coordinate leave, training, and new starters.
• Use rota management systems to track and report on staff allocation and hours.
• Maintain up-to-date records for payroll, audits, and regulatory (HIW/QAIS) inspections.
• Support workforce planning and report on gaps, overtime, and service pressures.

Who We\’re Looking For:
Essential:

• Previous rota or scheduling experience in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Knowledge of staffing regulations and regulatory compliance standards.
• Proficiency with rota software and confidence in data entry and reporting.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A highly organised individual with strong attention to detail with a methodical, structured approach.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with local authority-funded care and workforce planning tools.
• Driving licence and ability to travel to different service locations (mileage reimbursed).
