About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR & Payroll Assistant to join the Lucy & Yak Team.
The HR & Payroll Assistant will assist the HR Team in ensuring a smooth running of the department. They will have exceptional organisational and communicational skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to continue to progress in a busy and fast paced environment.
What You’ll be doing:
- Management of employee records
- Right to work and Reference checks
- On & Offboarding documentation
- Creating new contracts and contract amendments
- Attend disciplinaries and appeals, ensuring accurate minutes are recorded and filed.
- Managing outcomes from disciplinaries and appeals are actioned in appropriate time frames
- Working through daily and weekly scheduled reports
- Creating reports to assist with the monthly payroll schedule and dealing with payroll queries and discrepancies
- Collate and document accurate pay information from all departments
- Managing the HR team & Careers email inbox
- This list is not exhaustive, as part of the People team you will work across the whole HR function as required
What you bring to the role:
- A motivated and positive, enthusiastic team player with an open-minded approach. Someone who can take direction but is also able to work independently with confidence.
- A highly organised individual with attention to detail when performing tasks
- Has the ability to manage problems as well as prioritise and escalate where necessary
- Will handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Remains calm under pressure, and is a natural problem solver
- Has excellent IT skills with a high proficiency in Excel. Experience of working with a live HRIS system implementation would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Can effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- A CIPD and/or CIPP qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
