Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturer, is seeking a Commercial Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual looking to develop their career within a fast-paced production and manufacturing environment.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting customer projects from quotation through to production start-up, ensuring all information, documentation and materials are in place to enable successful delivery. This position offers a varied workload, significant cross-functional collaboration and the opportunity to build strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a key point of contact for customers from order placement through to production commencement.
- Support the preparation of quotations and commercial documentation.
- Manage project administration and ensure accurate information is captured and communicated across departments.
- Ensure all required documentation, approvals and questionnaires are completed prior to production.
- Liaise with Quality, Production and Supply Chain teams to coordinate project requirements.
- Arrange and support production trials where required.
- Ensure all components and materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Create customer approval documents and maintain project records.
- Prepare and deliver project handovers to operational teams.
- Assemble production packs for first-time manufacturing runs.
- Coordinate and host customer visits, ensuring all site procedures are followed.
- Maintain product records, photographs and supporting documentation.
- Update supplier information and material specifications where required.
- Provide additional support with purchasing, planning and customer relationship management activities.
- Previous experience in customer service, account coordination, client management or commercial administration.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional and customer-focused approach.
- A positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
- Confidence working collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP Business One or similar.
