Job Description

Private PA & Estate Manager

Location: Skipton area

Salary: £40,000

Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, fully office-based

Are you an experienced Private PA with interest or experience in rural and estate management? Do you thrive in a varied role that combines administrative duties with hands-on estate oversight? If so, this unique opportunity to work for a private estate could be perfect for you.

About the Role:

This is a diverse and evolving role that blends traditional PA responsibilities with estate management. You will be supporting a HNWI with both business and personal PA duties but with a bigger focus on personal and estate management. You will be managing their day-to-day schedule as well as being a key point of contact for the estate staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Assistant Duties

  • Comprehensive diary management (business & personal)
  • Coordinating complex international travel and itineraries
  • Booking accommodation and appointments
  • Coordinating holidays, planning and coordinating social events
  • Handling administrative and document management tasks

Estate & Property Management

  • Overseeing property management across multiple properties
  • Acting as the first point of contact for estate staff and contractors
  • Managing supplier contracts and ensuring construction projects stay on track
  • Handling tenant and land queries, including relations with farmers and external contractors
  • Sourcing materials for estate projects and renovations
  • Ensuring smooth operations of the estate office

Business & Finance Administration

  • Bookkeeping and bank reconciliation
  • Coordinating HR-related tasks such as attendance tracking and training
  • Assisting with recruitment and staff coordination

What We’re Looking For:

  • Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Private PA
  • Mature outlook and proficient and handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience with bookkeeping/ personal accounting ideally
  • Experience within a private household or estate would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident communicator who can handle sensitive or challenging conversations
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Background in estate management, construction, refurbishment, or maintenance oversight
  • Experience dealing with high-net-worth individuals and private estates
  • Strong IT and data management skills
  • Interest in rural estate management, land, or farming
