Duties and Responsibilities:
As an eCommerce Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running and development of the online store. You will work closely with a variety of internal teams and suppliers, helping to ensure products are accurately presented, orders are processed efficiently and customers receive a high level of service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and coordinating product listings using Shopify, including product descriptions and images.
- Ensuring product information, specifications and technical details are accurate.
- Supporting website merchandising, promotions and online campaigns.
- Using basic design tools such as Canva and Photoshop to create and update visual content.
- Coordinating the online merchandise range.
- Supporting website order fulfilment by liaising with internal departments and suppliers.
- Responding to customer enquiries through email, telephone and online chat.
- Coordinating website and marketplace returns, exchanges and claims, including eBay.
- Supporting general eCommerce projects and day-to-day tasks as required.
Skills & Knowledge:
- An interest in eCommerce and online retail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar.
- The ability to write clear and engaging product descriptions.
- A willingness to learn about agricultural, turf and ground care equipment.
- The confidence to take ownership of tasks and projects while also working effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience with Shopify, WordPress or another website content management system would be beneficial, as would experience of stock or ERP systems.
