Our client, an International business is looking to recruit a focused and hardworking individual to support the New Business Team within a Bid Executive capacity. Working within the Leeds Hub, the Bid team supports the wider Business Development function with writing and producing draft documents, working to company standards. The role would suit a Graduate with bid or tender writing experience who can hit the ground running in a fast paced client focused environment. It would also suit a highly experienced Administrator or Business Support Candidate who has excellent process led administration experience working with documents and templates, now looking for a new opportunity.

The role involves the following:

  • Working collaboratively with the wider team, receiving bids and tender documentation, reviewing information received.
  • Producing and preparing responses to bids working to company standards and gathering information from other areas of the business, chasing colleagues for the information when needed.
  • Maintaining your 'bid timetable' to ensure you are working to time commitments and that deadlines are achieved, communicating these with the wider business.
  • Thinking and working creatively, putting together workshops and storyboard sessions with the wider team to ensure compelling and creative content to achieve that "winning bid" for the business.
  • Keeping the central bid library up to date, ensuring all information is maintained effectively within the business portal.
  • Working with Marketing internally in relation to initiatives and events and supporting with the production of effective marketing collateral and case studies.
  • Ensuring all data involved is accurate and compliant.
  • Reviewing current and past bids to improve and develop future strategy.
  • Updating and managing a database of bids to reference.
  • Suggesting and implementing positive changes within the team.

What we are looking for in the right candidate:

This is an exciting and varied role for a proactive and confident candidate who has strong experience gained within Bids & Tenders or within a Senior Administrative role working with standard templates and documents. This role will give you the opportunity to work for a market leading organisation within a proactive and hard working team.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience of producing draft bids or tenders.
  • Experience of improving the bid experience and offer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Educated to degree level, ideally within Marketing, History or English, or an associated discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ideally SharePoint.
  • Structured and methodical approach to work with ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Superb attention to detail and highly numerate.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to manage a number of tasks at one time.
