As part of the Lucy Controls Division in Lucy Group, the Lucy Zodion business is pivotal to delivering market leading products and services into the Street Lighting and Highways, and Smart City sectors. This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing communications, campaigns and materials to support business activity.
As the Marketing Executive you will be responsible for the planning, delivery and continuous optimisation of the company’s marketing activities across products and services. The role owns the implementation of the marketing plan and the effective deployment of the marketing budget to maximise return on investment and brand impact. An important member of the Product Management and Marketing team, the role works closely with Sales, Product Management and Group Marketing to deliver integrated marketing activity aligned to business and sales objectives.
The role oversees the performance of both traditional and digital channels and uses market insight, trend analysis and campaign data to inform decision making and continuous improvement. As marketing lead, the role will be responsible for the creation of high-quality marketing collateral, ownership of the company website and intranet content, guardianship of the company’s corporate and product brand, and coordination of campaigns, events and launches that support commercial growth and customer engagement.
Key Accountabilities- Marketing Planning, Budgeting and Performance: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that supports business objectives, sales budgets and brand enhancement. Manage the marketing budget ensuring spend is planned, monitored and optimised to deliver maximum impact and return on investment. Track, analyse and report on marketing performance using agreed KPIs (digital, campaign, event and brand metrics), providing insight and recommendations to improve future activity. Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to identify opportunities, risks and areas for optimisation within the marketing plan.
- Marketing Activity and Collateral Creation: Support product management with new product launches through market research, launch planning, campaign delivery and sales toolkits. Create and manage marketing collateral including presentation, brochures, data sheets, videos, animations and written content (e.g.: blogs). Liaise with third party consultants and agencies for asset creation, content production and specialist support, ensuring quality, consistency and value for money.
- Digital and Website Management: Manage and maintain the Lucy Zodion website, ensuring content is accurate, customer focused and optimised for search engines (SEO) and user journey. Plan and manage social media activity (primarily LinkedIn), including content planning, posting, engagement and performance tracking. Identify, initiate and arrange photoshoots (products/brand) and maintain an organised and accessible digital asset library. Analyse website performance and digital metrics to drive continuous improvement in traffic, engagement and conversion.
- Campaign Management and Data Optimisation: Design, implement and manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels to support product launches, sales initiatives, brand building and colleague engagement. Use analytics and campaign data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and continuously optimise content, channels and messaging. Work with key stakeholders to define campaign objectives, success measures and post campaign reviews, ensuring learning is embedded into future delivery. Develop and maintain a customer contact database to support compliant and targeted e-marketing activity.
- Brand and Engagement: Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistent corporate and product messaging and visual identity. Deliver targeted marketing campaigns to drive sales, brand value and product launches. Measure campaign performance and use insights to optimise future activity. Manage internal communications and intranet content to support engagement and visibility of marketing activity. Work with Group Marketing to implement and align wider brand and campaign initiatives.
- Exhibitions: Organise and deliver conferences, trade shows and exhibitions, including stand design, marketing material, supplier coordination and logistics. Work with Sales to ensure effective deployment and follow up of leads generated from events. Conduct post event analysis to assess performance, return on investment and learnings, feeding insights into future event planning.
- Essential: Experience in a marketing role supporting or delivering campaigns, content or marketing activity. Practical experience contributing to promotional campaigns and/or product or service launches. Good understanding of digital and offline marketing communications. Experience using marketing tools and platforms (e.g. website CMS, social media, email marketing or similar). Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective communication and stakeholder working skills. Willingness to travel occasionally to support events.
- Advantageous: 5+ years of relevant marketing experience. A degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications or a related discipline. Experience in digital marketing, analytics, SEO or website management. Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, WordPress, Trello or similar. Experience working with external suppliers or agencies.
- Essential: Self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive, delivery focused and able to meet deadlines. Willingness to learn, adapt and develop.
- Advantageous: Creative, practical approach to problem solving. Comfortable working across different teams and priorities.
