The Treasury Assistant is an integral part of the Group Treasury team. Reporting directly to the Treasury Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Treasury team to deliver a great service throughout the group and to external stakeholders. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and progress the right candidate, suitable for someone who is developing their career in Finance.

To provide support for Treasury activities and the wider finance team in day-to-day cash management, transactional activities, and banking needs. Working with the Treasury Team to provide a value-added Treasury department to Lucy Group Ltd.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Cash Management - Booking of daily cash journals; Update of weekly cash flow forecasting provided by the local businesses.
  • Treasury Administration - Update and management of filing systems, Receiving/checking/collating and obtaining authorisation of payments from businesses with support from Treasury Analyst.
  • Intercompany Loans - Upkeep of intercompany loan information including documentation, approvals, and central records, set up of payments, signing of documentation.
  • Bank mandates - Bank mandate management; Monitor board calendar and ensure smooth communication of Treasury information supplied to Company Secretarial; Responsibility and update of bank mandate central records.
  • Hedging - Record hedge trades, maintain records, liaise with confirmations team to ensure trades are matched with the bank.
  • Stakeholder management - Management of relationships with key stakeholders including Legal, CoSec, local Finance Managers, and the relationships banks.
  • Trade Finance - Operation of guarantee administration process.
  • Month-end accounting - Provide support to the Treasury Analyst.
  • Other - Provide cover for the Treasury Analyst and support on ad-hoc activities and projects.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • AAT is advantageous.
  • Desire to study (e.g. ACT, or accounting qualification).
  • A-level’s or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience of an office environment.
  • Adept written and verbal communication skills.
