Lucy Group is seeking a Succession & Talent Management Consultant to support the implementation of structured succession planning and talent management that align with business strategy. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of our succession planning process and talent management approach working closely with the Global Head of Leadership, Development and Coaching to align training programmes that support skills development, career pathways, leadership growth, and compliance requirements.
We are looking for a highly organised, data driven L&D professional who can enhance and implement our global succession planning processes and talent management approach within the Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role will report to and support the Global Head of Leadership, Development & Coaching and will form part of the Lucy Groups HR CoE based from our head office in Oxford.
This is a hybrid role working from the Oxford office or out at one of our UK site 2-3 days per week. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Leadership, Development & Coaching and will support global succession and talent management processes working through the HRBP community.
Key Accountabilities
- Review Current Succession Planning Approach and Data
- Assess existing processes, tools, and data quality.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations for alignment with best practices.
- Design Structure and Process for Succession Planning
- Develop a clear, scalable framework for succession planning.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and governance.
- Create supporting documentation and templates.
- Support HR Business Partners in Delivery and Implementation
- Provide guidance and training to HRBPs on the new process.
- Assist in embedding succession planning into business unit priorities.
- Ensure consistency and compliance across regions.
- Collaborate with Global Head of Leadership, Development & Coaching
- Co-design integration points with leadership development programs.
- Align succession planning with talent development and future leader initiatives.
- Support communication and change management activities.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Proven experience and track record in talent management and succession planning at a global level.
- Ability to design and implement global HR processes.
- Familiarity with leadership development, job family frameworks and best practices.
- Experience in using HRIS and or Talent Management data systems.
