Internal Job Title: HR Graduate\\n\\nBusiness: Lucy Group Ltd\\n\\nLocation: Oxford\\n\\nJob Reference No: 3941\\n\\nJob Purpose: \\n\\nLucy Group is looking to employ HR Graduate to join an ever-expanding global HR function. This individual will assist various departments during their 2-year fixed term contract with a view to specialize in one of these areas once the initial graduate scheme comes to an end.  A human resources professional must strive to gain a broad range of skills and a vast understanding of the company's needs to be able to liaise with all sectors.

Human resource departments are responsible for recruitment, training, employment law compliance, employee benefits, handling grievances, disciplinary action, dismissals and redundancies, organization design and development, learning and development, coaching, training, mentoring etc.. The department works closely with senior members of our businesses as well as with individual employees to ensure that our people are managed and developed in the most effective way possible. \\n\\nBusiness Overview: \\n\\nLucy Group is an international group that makes the built environment sustainable. Established in Oxford over 200 years ago, we now trade worldwide and employ over 1,800 people across 5 continents and 12 countries.\\n\\nJob Dimensions: \\n\\nThis role will experience several different specialist departments that all make up the complete Lucy Group HR function, supporting over 1800 employees in a global capacity. You will be exposed to areas such as:, maintaining employee records, assisting with training and development programs, handling basic employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with HR policies, supporting recruitment processes, conducting candidate screenings, managing employee onboarding and providing administrative support to the HR team.  \\n\\nKey Accountabilities: \\n\\nSome key areas of HR exposure are as follows:\\n\\n•    Employee Relations:\\n\\n•    Addressing employee concerns and grievances \\n\\n•    Facilitating conflict resolution \\n\\n•    Maintaining positive employee relations \\n\\n•    Employee Development:\\n\\n•    Identifying training needs \\n\\n•    Coordinating training programs \\n\\n•    Managing employee performance reviews \\n\\n•    Early Careers\\n\\n•    Designing and developing Apprentice and intern programmes\\n\\n•    Maintaining regular reviews\\n\\n•    Developing an ongoing strategy to attract the best talent available to the business. \\n\\n•    Compensation and Benefits:\\n\\n•    Administering employee benefits plans \\n\\n•    Processing payroll \\n\\n•    Answering employee questions regarding benefits \\n\\n•    Compliance:\\n\\n•    Ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations \\n\\n•    Maintaining employee records and documentation \\n\\n•    Recruitment and Selection:\\n\\n•    Posting job openings \\n\\n•    Sourcing candidates through various channels \\n\\n•    Conducting initial screening interviews \\n\\n•    Managing the application process \\n\\n•    Coordinating with hiring managers \\n\\n•    Onboarding and Orientation:\\n\\n•    Developing and delivering new employee orientation programs \\n\\n•    Processing paperwork and setting up employee accounts \\n\\n•    Wellbeing, Culture and Engagement\\n\\n•    Assisting with the delivery of a global wellbeing strategy\\n\\n•    enhancing the levels of support in place for employing and driving ongoing initiatives\\n\\n•    Supporting and facilitating the delivery of employee engagement survey\\n\\n•    Supporting with action setting\\n\\n•    implementing initiatives to align with EDI audit actions\\n\\nQualifications: \\n\\nMinimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience \\n\\nA minimum of a 2:1 in a relevant and relatable subject matter\\n\\n-    strong communication skills\\n\\n-    organizational abilities\\n\\n-    a knack for building relationships\\n\\n-    empathy\\n\\n-    active listening skills\\n\\n-    analytical thinking\\n\\n-    knowledge of recruitment practices\\n\\n-    training and development understanding\\n\\n-    basic understanding of employment law\\n\\n-    and the ability to adapt to changing situations\\n\\n-    all while demonstrating strong ethical conduct and a focus on employee wellbeing. \\n\\nBehavioural Competencies \\n\\nCommunication skills:\\n\\n-    Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively interact with employees at all levels, including management, and clearly convey information about company policies, procedures, and updates. \\n\\nInterpersonal skills:\\n\\n-    Empathy, tact, and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds to foster positive working relationships\\n\\nAdaptability:\\n\\n-    Being flexible and able to adjust to changing business needs and market conditions \\n\\nEthical conduct:\\n\\n-    Maintain high ethical standards and demonstrate integrity in all HR practices. \\n\\nContinuous learning:\\n\\n-    Stay updated on current trends in HR by attending workshops, webinars, and professional development opportunities. \\n\\nDoes this sound interesting?
