The Global IS Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of strategic and operational IT projects across the Lucy Group. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while aligning with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. The Project Manager drives value through structured planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to the Group’s digital transformation and operational excellence.
Operating within the Group Information Services function, the Global IS Project Manager works across multiple business units and geographies. The role collaborates with internal teams, external vendors, and senior stakeholders to deliver complex IT initiatives. It supports the PMO framework and contributes to continuous improvement in project delivery practices.
Job Dimensions:
- Delivers projects across Lucy Group’s global operations
- Manages project budgets and tolerances
- Coordinates cross-functional teams including technical, business analysis, and change resources
- Applies Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies
- Engages with internal and external stakeholders
- Supports governance and reporting processes within the PMO
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless execution
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with PMO governance and reporting standards
- Support change management activities to drive adoption and business readiness
- Monitor and report on project performance, providing insights and recommendations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Extensive experience in managing IT projects and programmes
- Previous exposure to financial control, reporting and monitoring
- Proven experience of planning, budgets, scope definition, risk analysis and mitigation across the technology and project portfolio
- Proven capability to develop technical project documentation such as Gantt charts, project plans, Project approach, business process maps, and facilitate requirements capture workshops
- A strong technical background with experience delivering complex IT solutions
- Experience managing suppliers and vendors to ensure successful project delivery
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project Software
- Formal Project Management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMI)
- Experience with multiple project management methodologies and frameworks (Agile, Waterfall etc.)
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification
- Proven change management skills in a complex stakeholder environment
- Experience in overseeing the planning and delivery of IT Infrastructure projects
- A broad understanding of Cloud based Infrastructure technologies and services (e.g. AWS, Azure, D365, O365)
Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Previous experience managing ERP projects
- Previous experience managing projects using multiple platforms
- Strong knowledge and experience of MS Teams capability and associated embedded apps such as MS Lists, Planner, Milestones
- Change Management certification
- A working knowledge of DevOps and other software development approaches
- Program Management certification or equivalent experience
