The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
To manage the LEEVI Warehousing and Logistics department and all daily activities; these include management and control of over 5 million pounds of inventory across local and external sites, full cyclical inventory Physical Inventory (PI) counting, recruitment of staff levels towards workforce planning (WFP), mandated training review and upkeep plus fully supporting operational and business activities.
Delivering logistical and Operational expertise as part of the UK Operations team to ensure customer orders are facilitated and completed to meet monthly targets. As an operations team member, you will engage across all business sectors to ensure challenges are addressed and resolved to maintain conformance of finished products as delivered from suppliers and to all internal customers. Continuous Personal Development (CPD) is catered for to ensure individual and company needs are met.
This is a role based in Sowerby Bridge with standard hours of 07:30 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 – 12:30 on Fridays.
Key Accountabilities- Ensure all Personnel adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices.
- Responsible for the Warehouse KPI’s and overall performance of the warehouse team.
- Ensuring 100% of inventory counts are undertaken with due diligence, recorded fully with corrective actions and investigations undertaken through to swift conclusion.
- Work and support closely with the Operations Manager and ensure SIOP planning is undertaken against inventory requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust processes to deal with non-conforming material (NCR’s) whilst working strenuously alongside all stakeholders (Purchasing, Quality Assurance and Operations).
- Control of RMA process to ensure customer property is managed and fully through to closure.
- Lead, develop and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Manage inventory to ensure materials are transacted correctly and support towards all global shipping requirements.
- Maintain accurate records relating to the identification, control, and disposal of all wastes in line with waste and environmental policies.
- Retain accurate records of waste carrier licenses.
- Maintain documented safety and periodic checks on all warehouse plant end MHE equipment alongside the Maintenance manager.
- Support the operations team with all monthly write-off journals inclusive of weekly PI counts in support of finance.
- Attend Quality and operational review meetings and support improvement activities.
- Develop and implement a skills training plan to reduce bottlenecks and provide flexibility, ensure records and the operational training matrix is up to date.
- Manage the overtime process and ensure it is correctly approved through the Operations Manager.
- Recruitment, induction and training of permanent and temporary staff.
- Support towards all 6-S Audit activity and actions through to implementation.
- Drive Continuous Improvement activities.
- Strong manufacturing logistics experience.
- Good understanding of H&S and practical applications.
- Microsoft Office proficient; in particular, Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Maths and English GCSE (Or equivalent).
- High level of people management.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings.
- A good understanding of ISO9001 & ISO14001.
- Forklift licences to meet daily requirements.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- ISO9001 & ISO14001 Internal auditor certified.
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter or other CAD packages.
- First Aid and mental health awareness trained.
- A logical fact-based problem solver able to weigh up pros and cons and make reliable decisions.
- Ability to manage difficult and complex situations with the appropriate behaviours.
- Highly organised, ambitious, positive and self-motivated.
- Focused on delivering results and continuously improving outputs including team competencies.
- Strong people management skills and ability to engage at all levels.
