As an Assistant Manager you will support the Exeter Store Manager and team, working collaboratively to create an exceptional shopping experience and drive the success of the store.

Responsibilities
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Become an expert on all things Lucy & Yak and foster a customer-focused culture.
  • Team Development, Coaching & Training: Motivate and inspire team members, provide instant feedback and support recruiting, training and development.
  • Sales: Partner with the Store Manager to meet sales targets and KPIs, implementing strategies to drive growth.
  • Operational Support: Oversee daily store operations, manage staff rotas, support opening & closing procedures, run evening and collaboration events.
  • Stock Management: Assist with inventory optimisation, minimise stock discrepancies and ensure product availability.
  • Community Engagement: Organise and run events, build an engaged community via in-store and social media interactions.
Qualifications
  • Previous customer-facing supervisory or team management experience (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong leadership, team management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
  • Good understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc).
  • Confident, responsible, adaptable and skilled at creative problem solving.
  • Passion for Lucy & Yak’s mission, products and values.
  • Commitment to excellence and a customer-obsessed mindset.

Employment Information: Salary based on experience. Part time – 30 hours per week. Based in Exeter.
