Want to join the 4th fastest-growing founder-led business in the UK? We’re Lucky Egg: the creators of viral party games like Grab the Mic and Sorry What?!, played by millions around the world and seen by even more on TikTok. We move fast, think big, and obsess over great design. We’re looking for a Designer (illustrative focus): a clever, creative designer who’s excited to learn, contribute, and grow quickly in a high-performing creative team. This role requires both strong layout/typographic judgement and the ability to create original illustrative elements.
What’s The Role?
As our Designer, you’ll help us design world-class party games, with your name on the packaging. Your work isn’t speculative. It ships globally, sells in Walmart and Target, and reaches millions of players. You’ll work across packaging, branding, digital content, and creative support. No two days will be the same, and your work will be in front of millions. This is a fast‑paced, idea‑rich environment. The more you take ownership, the faster you’ll grow. You’ll be joining a two-person design team, inside a seven-person product team that designs, tests, and launches our games.
Who we’re looking for
We hire exceptional people, not just good designers, but clear‑thinking self‑starters. You’re switched‑on, curious, and ready to get stuck in. You spot what’s missing, suggest better ways, and want to be trusted with real ownership. You’re not afraid to speak up or get things wrong, as long as you learn fast. We don’t handhold, but we have your back. Our best team members are “managers of one” — people who set their own goals and deliver without being chased.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing packaging, cards, instructions, and other game components
- Creating assets for TikTok, Amazon, and other retail platforms
- Working with product development on mockups and visual concepts
- Working on brand materials and internal campaigns
- Moving fast, staying focused, and designing things people love
What you’ll need
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- An eye for layout, colour, and typography
- Solid illustration skills, with a sense of style
- A portfolio that shows strong design thinking and attention to detail
- Confidence to ask questions and take feedback without ego
- Ability to manage your time, stay organised, and own your output
Bonus points for:
- Print production knowledge (bleeds, dielines, setup)
- Familiarity with AI design tools like Firefly, Midjourney or ChatGPT
- 3D rendering or product mockup skills
Location, Benefits & Perks

Regular social events, from team lunches to our legendary summer sports day. Access to local discounts – cafés, fitness, beauty, and more. Pension scheme to support your future plans.
How we work (and what we value)
At Lucky Egg, we move fast, think big, and aim high. We value:
- Speed as a default — We move in minutes and hours, not days and weeks
- Bold thinking — We aim for 10x solutions, not small optimisations
- Ownership — If you see a problem, fix it. If you lead a project, own it
- Honesty over ego — Say “I don’t know.” Ask questions. Own mistakes
- Curiosity — Explore, experiment, and spot opportunities others miss
- Exceptional people — Smart, kind, resourceful, coachable, relentless
You won’t be micromanaged. You’ll be expected to think clearly, solve problems, and learn every day.
