At Lucion Infrastructure, we deliver complex, multi-disciplinary services across the highways and utilities sectors. That means coordinating people, projects, and data at pace without compromising on quality. We’re now looking for an Operations Lead to join our team in Rotherham. This is a key role responsible for the day‑to‑day delivery of our services – ensuring work is planned, managed, and completed on time, every time.
What You’ll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)
- Manage daily and weekly operational workloads using internal systems
- Plan and coordinate resources, including staff, plant, and equipment
- Liaise with clients to provide updates, answer queries, and offer technical support
- Work closely with the Business Unit Manager to monitor current and future workload demands
- Ensure all work is processed accurately through our NexGen system to support delivery and billing
- Minimise Work In Progress (WIP) by keeping projects moving efficiently
- Collaborate with Technical Assurance teams to maintain quality standards and resolve non-conformances
- Carry out quality checks to ensure all work meets Lucion’s technical procedures
- Maintain accurate records and data within internal systems
- Identify opportunities to improve KPIs while maintaining commercial performance
- Lead and support operational teams to consistently deliver high-quality work
- Step in for the Business Unit Manager when required

About You (Organised, Proactive, Delivery-Focused)
- You understand that strong operations are built on planning, communication, and attention to detail.
- You’ll likely have experience managing workloads and delivering services on time
- Be confident coordinating teams and resources in a fast-paced environment
- Hold relevant industry qualifications (P402 / P403 / P404 / P405 or similar)
- Have practical experience in surveying and/or air monitoring
- Communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams
- Be comfortable working under pressure while staying calm and organised
- Have strong IT skills and experience using operational systems
- Take a proactive approach to solving problems and improving performance
