Overview
Graduate Geotechnical Engineer – Location: Peterborough (with travel to sites as required). Division: Lucion Ground Engineering. Full Time, Permanent Position. Kick-start your career in Ground Engineering with Lucion. We’re looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on site experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to meaningful projects across the UK. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of ground investigation projects, while receiving full training and mentoring to help you build your career in geotechnical consulting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting ground investigation projects both on-site and in the office
- Logging soil and rock samples to industry standards
- Supervising drilling rigs, trial pits, and in-situ testing
- Gathering data for geotechnical and environmental assessments
- Contributing to factual and interpretative reports
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and the wider project team
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Earth Sciences or similar
- Strong interest in ground investigation and site work
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence
