Whether you're starting your career or looking for a new direction, Lucion has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Structural Technician to join our growing Infrastructure team.
Based from our Coventry office, you'll travel to sites across the UK, working alongside experienced colleagues to carry out surveys and investigations that help keep our roads, bridges and infrastructure safe and performing at their best.

What You'll Be Doing
Every day is different. You'll support a wide range of infrastructure surveys and investigations, including:
- Highway infrastructure inspections
- Structural investigations and condition assessments
- Pavement surveys and testing
- Trial pit surveys
- Pavement and structural coring
- Concrete investigations
- Asbestos surveys within infrastructure environments (full training provided)
- Recording accurate site data and survey findings
- Working safely on live infrastructure projects across the UK
As your skills develop, you'll gain experience using specialist equipment and take on increasing responsibility across a variety of projects.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who's motivated, reliable and enjoys practical, site-based work.
You'll ideally have
- An interest in construction, infrastructure, engineering or surveying
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A full UK driving licence
- The flexibility to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
Experience in construction, highways or surveying is beneficial, but it's not essential—we're looking for potential, and we'll provide the technical training.
