At Lucion Delta-Simons our acoustic consultants help shape residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure and energy projects across the UK. From planning support to detailed acoustic design, we provide clear, practical advice that helps clients navigate complex challenges and deliver successful developments. We are looking for a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join our multidisciplinary environmental consultancy team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and deliver environmental noise and vibration assessments
- Undertake building acoustics assessments and advise on acoustic design solutions
- Conduct noise monitoring surveys and analyse acoustic data
- Prepare high-quality technical reports in line with UK standards and guidance
- Undertake acoustic modelling using industry-standard software
- Support planning applications through detailed noise and vibration assessments
- Liaise directly with clients, architects, planners, local authorities and project stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, resources and programme delivery
- Mentor and support junior consultants and graduates
- Contribute to business development activities and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Be a Member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA), or working towards Chartered status
- Have proven experience within environmental and/or building acoustics consultancy
- Have a strong understanding of UK guidance and standards, including BS 4142, BS 8233 and ProPG
- Be experienced using acoustic modelling software such as CadnaA or SoundPLAN
- Produce clear, concise and technically robust reports
- Be confident managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
- Hold a full UK driving licence
