We are a like-minded community with a shared vision to protect people and planet. ### RoleThe Technical Consultant looks after the provision of consultancy services across the Group at a fee earning capacity. This would primarily relate to the asbestos services we provide but it would also include other aspects of hazardous materials management. ### The Duties of the Technical Consultant consist of:* Production of technical documentation such as asbestos management plans, tender reviews, removal specifications and asbestos exposure assessments* Management of asbestos abatement projects including engaging with and coordinating subcontractors* Engaging with clients when providing technical advice and guidance relating to asbestos and other hazardous materials* Identifying opportunities and promoting additional workstreams* Responsible for own workload, financials, clients and business development* Review client contracts and ensure quality, operational and financial commitments are met, when appropriate* Supporting tenders, marketing and commercial teams where required* Attend all planned training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.* Ensuring that the company\’s systems (CRM, NexGen) are well administered and kept up to date.* Ensuring that all client requests are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.Ensuring all work quoted is profitable and does not expose the business to unconsidered commercial risks ### Knowledge and Skills* Combinations of the following vocational qualifications: BOHS P401, P402, P403, P404, P405, P406, P407, S301, W504 or CocA (Asbestos)* A solid understanding of UK asbestos guidance and regulations* Able to work under own initiative and able to self-manage tasks whilst prioritizing workloads to achieve deadlines* Demonstrates managerial judgement, provides leadership and showing integrity at all times* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* IT literate* A UK driving license (preferably clean) ### Behaviours You Will Demonstrate| | || — | — || **Integrity** | * Acts with honesty, respect, fairness and transparency in all of our endeavours and interactions * Promotes diversity, inclusion and equality in our workplace * Remains consistent in the quality of the delivery of our actions and behaviours * Understands the need to follow Lucion’s procedures and how this links to UKAS requirements || **Innovation** | * Empowers one other to challenge the status quo and seek out new opportunities * Pursues ideas that have the potential to make a positive difference to our community by raising quality or driving improvement * Flexible and able to adapt to a changing work environment * Demonstrates resilience and determination by using initiative to be resourceful and work without always being told what to do || **Trust** | * Always manages sensitive information appropriately * Listens to our community, giving everyone a voice and working together to find solutions * Builds trusted relationships at all levels across our community || **Commitment** | * Demonstrates a strong work ethic to deliver our mission and culture * Decisive and able to take responsibility for actions * Understands compliance and the need to follow Group procedures * Strives for excellence in all that we do || **Sustainability** | * Contributes to a thriving working environment in which our colleagues can grow and encourage one another to make a positive impact on the world around us * Committed to supporting environmental, charitable and sustainable practices and initiatives within our workplace | ### Benefits* Salary sacrifice car scheme* Cycle to work scheme* Retail discounts platform* EAP* Cashback health scheme* Life Assurance*Lucion is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
