Great training doesn’t just pass on information. It builds confidence, improves competence, and raises standards across an industry. At Lucion, we believe technical knowledge is only powerful when it’s shared well. We’re a purpose-driven, beyond net-zero business working across 12 sectors worldwide, trusted for clear advice, strong governance, and people who genuinely know their stuff.

We’re now looking for a Technical Consultant with a passion for training and knowledge-sharing to join us in a dual-role that combines asbestos consultancy with the delivery of high-quality training. You’ll help lead and grow our asbestos training offer supporting competency development across Lucion and with our clients. If you enjoy explaining complex topics clearly, helping others improve, and still keeping your technical skills sharp, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)

This is a varied, people-facing role where technical credibility and communication skills go hand in hand. You’ll:

  • Deliver UKATA-approved asbestos training courses to internal teams and external clients
  • Facilitate virtual and face-to-face training sessions across Lucion and at client locations
  • Support the design, review, and continuous improvement of training content and delivery style
  • Adapt your approach to suit different audiences from technical staff to clients and contractors
  • Manage your own consultancy workload, including client delivery, proposals, reports, and financials
  • Contribute to business development, supporting sales pipeline activity and opportunity tracking
  • Maintain accurate records across systems including NexGen and Scheduler
  • Prepare weekly activity reports to support team discussions and planning

In short: delivering training that actually sticks while staying grounded in real-world consultancy.

About You (Credible, Confident, Engaging)

You know asbestos and you know how to explain it clearly. You’ll bring:

  • A strong background in the asbestos industry (ideally 3+ years in surveying or analysis roles)
  • Confidence presenting to groups and communicating technical information clearly
  • A solid understanding of current asbestos regulations and industry best practice
  • A proactive, well-organised, and self-managed approach to work
  • Willingness to travel across the UK to deliver training
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable (But Not Essential):

  • Previous experience delivering asbestos training
  • BOHS qualifications such as P402, P403, P404, P405, W504, or CCP (Asbestos)
  • Familiarity with UKATA course structures and standards

The Perks (Because Details Matter Here Too)

We believe good work deserves good support, so alongside a welcoming, professional environment and a role that genuinely matters, you’ll also benefit from:

  • Techscheme vouchers towards commuting or home tech
  • Healthcare Cash Plan help with everyday healthcare costs
  • Enhanced family leave because life happens
  • Option to buy extra holiday time off actually matters
  • Training & development keep your career moving forward
  • Flexible working, backed by a business that genuinely cares

Why Lucion?

Because knowledge-sharing is valued here. Because training is about raising standards not ticking boxes. And because you want a role where your experience helps others do better, safer work. If you’re a technical professional who enjoys teaching as much as delivering we’d love to hear from you. Lucion. Purpose-led. People-focused. Building competence that lasts.
