At Lucion Delta-Simons, we're looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our growing team of environmental specialists. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ecologist who combines technical expertise with a pragmatic approach, enjoys mentoring others, and thrives on variety.
From protected species surveys and habitat assessments to supporting major development projects, you'll play a key role in helping our clients balance progress with environmental responsibility.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and delivering a wide range of ecological surveys and assessments.
- Producing high-quality reports including PEAs, EcIAs and protected species survey reports.
- Managing projects from initial proposal through to successful delivery.
- Providing trusted ecological advice to clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Designing practical mitigation, enhancement and biodiversity solutions.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Building strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Helping shape projects that leave a positive legacy for both people and nature.
- Proven experience working within ecological consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of UK ecology, legislation and planning processes.
- Excellent report writing and project management skills.
- Confidence managing client relationships and project delivery.
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Membership of CIEEM (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
- Protected species licences are a bonus, but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence.
