Our business helps clients develop new construction products and systems across all forms of materials and combinations. As the industry modernises its methods and evolves its sustainable capabilities, we are growing to meet market needs. We are looking for a motivated, technically minded Test Engineer to join our Construction – Structures team. In this hands‑on role, you will carry out testing on a wide range of construction products and components to British and European standards, as well as bespoke client specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet required performance expectations, gathering and analysing data, and producing high‑quality technical reports. Direct communication with clients is essential, so confidence and clarity in communication are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical test requirements.
  • Develop and compile test methods.
  • Liaise with clients in person and via remote channels.
  • Identify and specify the required test and measurement equipment.
  • Instruct construction of test rigs and/or preparation of samples.
  • Set up instrumentation and data‑gathering systems.
  • Conduct a range of physical and mechanical tests.
  • Collect, analyse, and format test data.
  • Produce accurate, clear, and concise test reports for clients.
  • Support wider team activities such as test rig design and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and workflow.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 3 qualification (A‑Level / HNC or equivalent) in Mechanical, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Previous work experience or university project work related to Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

Desirable

  • Degree in a relevant Engineering or Science subject.
  • Experience with or exposure to construction industry products and components.
  • Basic CAD competency (2D and 3D).
