Job Purpose: As a Technical Advisor Trainee / ISO Management Systems Auditor, you’ll play a key role in supporting compliance and technical operations while developing into a fully qualified ISO auditor. You’ll gain hands-on experience, formal training, and a clear career pathway—all while contributing to the integrity of global certification processes.
Responsibilities:
- Train and shadow audits for ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, BES 6001 & Product Conformity).
- Assist in planning audits, preparing documentation, and learning to identify non-conformities.
- Support technical review of audit reports and maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Contribute to certification schemes, risk assessments, and client applications.
- Help manage certification records, internal audits, and liaise with UKAS for assessments.
- Undertake formal auditor and technical training programmes.
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent in Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or similar.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Desirable:
- Awareness of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021-1 and certification body operations.
- Auditor/Lead Auditor training (or willingness to undertake).
- Experience in quality, compliance, or technical advisory roles.
