Job Purpose

As a Technical Advisor Trainee / ISO Management Systems Auditor, you’ll play a key role in supporting compliance and technical operations while developing into a fully qualified ISO auditor. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, formal training, and a clear career pathway—all while contributing to the integrity of global certification processes.

  • Train and shadow audits for ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, BES 6001 & Product Conformity).
  • Assist in planning audits, preparing documentation, and learning to identify non‑conformities.
  • Support technical review of audit reports and maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Contribute to certification schemes, risk assessments, and client applications.
  • Help manage certification records, internal audits, and liaise with UKAS for assessments.
  • Undertake formal auditor and technical training programmes.

Key Person Requirements

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent in Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or similar.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Desirable:

  • Awareness of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021‑1 and certification body operations.
  • Auditor/Lead Auditor training (or willingness to undertake).
  • Experience in quality, compliance, or technical advisory roles.
