At Lucideon, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Intern to join our CICS team. This role is ideal for students or school leavers looking to build practical experience in ESG and greenhouse gas (GHG) assurance, working alongside experienced auditors. You’ll contribute to projects that help organisations meet sustainability regulations and demonstrate their environmental impact—across sectors such as manufacturing, energy and real estate. This role is site-based in Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent.

What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing client data packs for sustainability and GHG assurance
- Checking emissions calculations and underlying data
- Comparing data against supporting evidence (e.g. utility bills, energy usage, fuel and waste records)
- Working with recognised emission factors and databases
- Supporting the review of wider ESG metrics
- Liaising with senior auditors and client teams
- Contributing to project delivery across multiple clients
What we’re looking for: This role is perfect for a post-A Level student, a Graduate, placement student, or someone exploring a future career in sustainability. This role will be for a minimum of 6 months, with a start date of September 2026. You’ll bring:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Confidence using Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- An interest in sustainability, carbon or environmental topics
- A keen eye for detail and an inquisitive mindset
- Good communication skills and confidence in virtual meetings (e.g. MS Teams)
- The ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively
Previous work experience is helpful but not essential.
