We are seeking an experienced Telephony Engineer with a strong background in delivering and rolling out modern digital telephony solutions, ideally Microsoft Teams Telephony. This role is focused on replacing legacy telephony platforms as part of an analogue-to-digital transformation across a large multi-site estate (100+ sites). You will play a key role in implementing an already established core solution, taking ownership of site-level design, deployment, and go-live activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end telephony rollouts across multiple sites, primarily using Microsoft Teams Telephony (Direct Routing and/or Operator Connect)
- Support the replacement of legacy/analogue telephony systems with modern digital solutions
- Engage with stakeholders to support delivery, building on existing communications already provided
- Design site-specific telephony solutions, ensuring alignment with the core architecture
- Lead on-site build, configuration, implementation, and go-live activities
- Configure and support Microsoft Teams calling features
- Ensure smooth cutover and transition for end users, minimising disruption
- Troubleshoot voice and connectivity issues
- Maintain clear documentation and provide structured handovers
