Role Overview
We\'re looking for a Manufacturing Technology Support Analyst to provide on-site technical support within a manufacturing environment undergoing significant modern technology transformation.
This role will act as the local technology presence for the site, supporting a growing estate of manufacturing applications, shop floor devices, operational technology (OT) equipment and business systems.
You will work closely with operational teams, technology specialists and central support functions to ensure systems remain reliable, connected and fit for purpose.
The position offers an excellent opportunity to be involved in the rollout and support of new technologies, including manufacturing applications, automation solutions, connected devices and digital tools that will help modernise the factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st/2nd line support for manufacturing applications and shop floor technologies.
- Support operational technology devices, industrial PCs, scanners, printers & connected equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application and connectivity issues.
- Support systems integrations and assist with the onboarding of new devices and technologies.
- Act as the local point of contact between site users and central IT, application and infrastructure teams.
- Assist with deployments, upgrades, migrations and technology improvement initiatives.
- Support manufacturing and logistics users with day-to-day technology issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, user guidance and support procedures.
- Monitor and escalate issues where appropriate, ensuring timely resolution through wider support teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve user experience, operational efficiency and technology adoption across the site.
Skills & Experience
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous
- IT support within a manufacturing, production or industrial setting
- Operational Technology (OT)
- Manufacturing systems and shop floor applications
- Industrial devices, scanners, printers and mobile technologies
- Network and connectivity troubleshooting
- Hardware deployment and support
- Systems integration and connected devices
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- SAP ME or similar manufacturing platforms
- Automation and digital transformation initiatives
Strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work independently across a varied technical environment are essential.
