A long-term opportunity has arisen for our customer based in Suffolk. We’re looking for a seasoned IT professional with a diverse background covering 2nd/3rd line technical support across the entire IT infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support across IT infrastructure and systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain system software (OS, utilities, databases).
- Manage access controls and ensure compliance with IT security policies.
- Operate and monitor IT infrastructure to meet business and regulatory standards.
- Administer physical databases and ensure data availability and integrity.
- Plan, implement, and optimise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS, backup, DR).
- Support network performance, troubleshooting, and user connectivity issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to prevent issues.
- Support sustainability and best practice initiatives across IT operations.
Key Technical Skills
- Strong background in IT support with experience across the full support lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and desktop environments, including:
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- PowerShell scripting
