Field Services Engineer - Herts, Bedfordshire & Bucks
Location : UK Wide/Regional Field-Based
Duration : 12 Weeks Initially
Rate : £165 per day (Umbrella)
An opportunity has arisen for a Field Services Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of IT and communications infrastructure across customer sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality on-site technical support, ensuring equipment is installed and maintained to agreed service levels while providing exceptional customer service. This role would suit an engineer with strong hardware, networking and end-user support experience who enjoys working independently across multiple customer locations.
Previous experience as a Field Services Engineer, IT Support Engineer or similar.
Strong hardware break/fix, installation and troubleshooting experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: O365, Windows 10/11, AD, Exchange etc.
Experience supporting desktops, laptops, peripherals and end-user devices.
Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, switching and Wi-Fi.
Experience carrying out on-site installations, upgrades and technical deployments.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to accurately document work completed and maintain service records.
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.
Exposure to telecoms, connectivity or communications technologies would be advantageous.
