IT Field Desktop Installation Engineer - Glasgow - Contract Until End of 2026 Here at Lucid, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Field Desktop Installation Engineer to join a large-scale Install project across the Glasgow area through to December 2026.
This is a field-based role where you will be responsible for visiting multiple customer sites across Glasgow, typically attending 1-2 sites per day, although this may vary depending on the deployment schedule.
All Mileage will be paid at 40p per mile.
Important Security Requirement Candidates must hold an active Disclosure Scotland Level 1 clearance or be willing to undergo and successfully obtain a Disclosure Scotland Level 1 check before starting.
K ey Responsibilities Install, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, and associated peripherals.
Carry out hardware refreshes, desk-side installations, and equipment swaps for end users.
Perform basic setup, testing, and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
Ensure all installations are completed to agreed standards and project timelines.
Provide excellent customer service and user support during deployments.
Maintain accurate installation records and update project documentation.
