This role will join the existing Infrastructure Server Admin Team to provide day to day support and project work to the areas of Servers, storage, Active Directory and Backups plus more.

Role responsibilities:

• To deal with daily BAU/operational issues as they occur.
• Efficiently and accurately process requests for new VMs.
• Diligently keep systems updated to ensure good housekeeping practices, for example - ensuring Active Directory is kept up to date with new/retired VMs, ensuring new VMs are setup correctly for backups.
• You will be involved with a variety of assignments and high priority project work.
• To ensure backups are reliable, current and tested.
• Daily checks must be carried out and documented to ensure the reliability of our systems.
• You must keep up to date with a variety of alerts as they arrive to ensure the integrity and reliability of the VM environment, Backups, Storage, Certificates and all things that cover this area.
• To ensure IT auditing and inventorying is performed as required.
• To maintain and update documentation.

Essential Experience:

• Extensive experience of VM Ware Configuration and Management.
• Experienced in working with, troubleshooting and upgrading with Server 2012 up to 2022 Server OS.
• Good experience and knowledge of VM Ware and Azure Network Connectivity.
• You must have excellent skills and working knowledge of Active Directory.
• You must have knowledge of Group Policies.
• You must have experience of DFS and DNS in an enterprise and how to administer.
• You must have worked competently with Backup and DR solutions - preferably Veeam, Azure Backup and Zerto.
• To have good experience in O365/Exchange to include: Exchange administration, Connectors and Rules, MX Records.
• Have a good understanding and experience in Azure/Entra Management and Azure Servers, Systems, applications and awareness of security essentials.
• Have working experience with VSAN Storage.

Desirable Experience:

• Using Azure Site Recovery.
• Migrations of on prem/Gmail to O365 migrations.
• Hyper V management (beneficial/bonus).
• PowerShell knowledge.
• Public SSL certificates.
• PKI certificate server, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Domain registration eg, 123 Reg, Cloudflare.
