Overview:
We are seeking an experienced On-Site Deployment Lead to support a large-scale IT Desktop Refresh programme. The role leads day-to-day on-site deployment activity, managing engineers and execution during rollout waves, and providing clear reporting into a central project team contact. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role requiring strong on-site leadership and issue resolution capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and control on-site desktop refresh deployment activity
- Coordinate and direct deployment engineers and rollout partners
- Act as primary on-site authority during deployment windows
- Oversee device swaps, user handovers, and decommissioning
- Track progress, exceptions, and quality issues
- Provide daily status reporting to the central project team
- Escalate risks, blockers, and failures promptly
Required Experience
- Leading on-site IT deployments or desktop refresh projects
- Strong end-user computing (EUC) knowledge
- Experience managing engineers or deployment teams
- Excellent coordination, reporting, and escalation skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, business-critical environments
- Large-scale EUC or multi-site rollout experience
Desirable
- Asset management or ITSM tooling exposure
- PMO/Prince2-aligned delivery environments
