Overview
Seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to manage the delivery of complex cloud and digital transformation initiatives within a public sector context. The role focuses on agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and effective governance across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure secure, scalable, and user-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and oversee delivery strategy for cloud and DevOps programmes supporting transformation objectives.
- Lead agile delivery teams across engineering, DevOps, analysis, and testing disciplines.
- Ensure resource planning, mentoring, and performance management for high-performing teams.
- Oversee the implementation of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures, applying Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices.
- Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, and delivery cadence via agile tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Maintain compliance with government security, accessibility, and procurement standards.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks through proactive governance and stakeholder engagement.
- Foster collaboration across internal teams, suppliers, and public sector partners.
- Promote continuous improvement through innovation and emerging technology adoption.
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record of end-to-end delivery within digital, service, or cloud transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks, governance, and performance measurement.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a DevOps or cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Working knowledge of ITIL and practical service delivery concepts.
- Highly motivated and resilient under pressure, with a collaborative and adaptable approach.
