Overview

Seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to manage the delivery of complex cloud and digital transformation initiatives within a public sector context. The role focuses on agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and effective governance across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure secure, scalable, and user-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee delivery strategy for cloud and DevOps programmes supporting transformation objectives.
  • Lead agile delivery teams across engineering, DevOps, analysis, and testing disciplines.
  • Ensure resource planning, mentoring, and performance management for high-performing teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures, applying Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices.
  • Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, and delivery cadence via agile tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Maintain compliance with government security, accessibility, and procurement standards.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks through proactive governance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Foster collaboration across internal teams, suppliers, and public sector partners.
  • Promote continuous improvement through innovation and emerging technology adoption.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven track record of end-to-end delivery within digital, service, or cloud transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of agile frameworks, governance, and performance measurement.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in a DevOps or cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL and practical service delivery concepts.
  • Highly motivated and resilient under pressure, with a collaborative and adaptable approach.
