We are seeking an experienced Red Hat Subject Matter Expert with Enhanced Developed Vetting (DV) clearance to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role is critical to supporting secure infrastructure projects within a highly sensitive environment. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, ensuring compliance, resilience, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) platforms.
- Design, configure, and maintain secure Red Hat environments in line with organizational and government standards.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization for mission-critical systems.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
- Deliver documentation, best practices, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Support patching, upgrades, and life cycle management of Red Hat systems.
- Ensure adherence to strict security protocols and operational procedures in a DV-cleared environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Enhanced DV clearance.
- Proven expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of system hardening, security compliance, and patch management.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with virtualization, containerization (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to operate in high-security environments.
