We are seeking an experienced Telephony Engineer with hands-on experience delivering and rolling out modern digital telephony solutions, ideally Microsoft Teams Telephony. This role will focus on replacing legacy telephony platforms as part of an analogue-to-digital migration, supporting both technical delivery and end-user transition in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience delivering telephony solution rollouts, ideally Microsoft Teams Telephony (Direct Routing and/or Operator Connect)
- Hands-on experience supporting or migrating from legacy/analogue telephony systems to digital platforms
- Strong understanding of voice architecture, call flows, SBCs, numbering plans, and voice routing
- Experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Teams calling features, including users, policies, auto attendants, and call queues
- Ability to support telephony projects end-to-end, from planning and configuration through to go-live support and issue resolution
- Strong troubleshooting capability across voice and connectivity issues, including call quality, latency, jitter, and packet loss
- Experience working with stakeholders to ensure minimal service disruption during telephony migrations
- Exposure to network infrastructure (e.g. HPE, Juniper Mist) is desirable, supporting voice traffic where required
- Methodical approach to problem-solving with clear documentation and handover practice
