We are looking for a team member who has experience of independently developing high-quality medical content in-line with client’s strategic plans, with the ability to translate complex clinical data to then deliver compelling content that engages audiences across a range of deliverables.

Location: Our offices are in London, Macclesfield and Manchester. We are open to applications from all over the UK as we have remote and flexible hybrid working policies.

- US MedComms works with both US and Global brand teams to create powerful medical communications solutions for early lifecycle assets.
- US Marketing works with clients across the Rx, Medical Device, OTC and Consumer Device categories to deliver compelling communications and promotional solutions to Healthcare Professionals for in-market assets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
A Senior Medical Writer can create synergy between science, technical information and commercial objectives to deliver compelling programmes. They are able to translate complex clinical data to deliver compelling content that engages the audience across a range of deliverables.
Senior Medical Writers at Lucid are responsible for delivering strategic and scientific value to key Lucid Group accounts. They are ambassadors for Lucid Group, helping build the profile and client base of the Company.
A Senior Medical Writer at Lucid is responsible for:
- Independently developing high-quality medical content in-line with our client's strategic plans.
- Writing content that meets physicians’ needs, anticipates these needs and supports client’s decision making.
- Working to highest levels of quality and accuracy on any given project, using multiple writing styles and adapting as needed.
- Creating synergy between science, technical information and commercial objectives to deliver compelling programmes.
- Acquiring outstanding knowledge of client data and understanding both therapy area and commercial objectives.
- Champions excellent standards in everything they are involved in.
- Building relationships with our clients based on their outstanding writing and knowledge, being an invaluable scientific and strategic partner for clients.
- Building effective internal partnerships with other capabilities to successfully deliver the project plan on plan and to budget (client services, project management, creative, strategy, etc).
- Working with our account management team to highlight new opportunities.
- Ensuring excellence is always delivered for all projects, on time and on budget.
- Contributing to the pitch process and new business proposals.
- Mentoring others and putting processes in place that improve efficiency.
- Supporting with scientific reviews to ensure factual accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements/code.
- Ensuring quality feedback is provided to junior writers to support development.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in a scientific, medical or life sciences field.
- Experience managing their own time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience working collaboratively and efficiently in a cross-capability team.
- Experience writing for a variety of medical/scientific audiences.
- Proven ability to create high-quality medical/scientific content.
- Experience working in a healthcare communications agency environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience delivering a wide variety of medical writing outputs.
- Experience creating content for digital/online and omnichannel outputs.
- Competent and confident being a therapy area expert.
- Competent and confident contributing to medical/scientific discussions.
- Proven ability to build professional external partnerships through their work.
- Experience in reviewing colleagues' medical writing.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring others.
