This is a high-impact role where you will influence product direction, shape technical priorities and help define how connected energy solutions evolve across the Sync Energy portfolio.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager – Connected Platforms to take ownership of some of the most exciting developments in our connected energy ecosystem, including Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Plug-In Solar technologies.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of smart energy, leading products that sit at the intersection of hardware, software, cloud platforms and emerging energy technology.

What You'll Be Doing

As Senior Product Manager, you will own key technical product domains from concept through to delivery and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include

  • Own the roadmap, strategy and delivery of connected energy product lines focused on V2G and Plug-In Solar.
  • Lead the development of OCPP v2.1 server infrastructure and associated connected platform capabilities.
  • Define product requirements, technical specifications and user journeys across app, API and backend services.
  • Manage products across the full technology stack, from hardware and firmware integration through to cloud services and APIs.
  • Driving Delivery
  • Manage product backlogs, sprint priorities and technical workstreams.
  • Coordinate testing, validation and product releases with engineering and QA teams.
  • Ensure technical milestones are delivered on time through close collaboration with developers and suppliers.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into actionable development plans.
  • Work closely with teams across the UK, India and China.
  • Build strong relationships with technology partners, energy suppliers and flexibility service providers.
  • Collaborate with development teams on app features, UX improvements and customer-facing functionality.
  • Support the growth of a connected ecosystem serving more than 50,000 users.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in ambitious product professionals who enjoy operating at the forefront of connected technology and smart energy innovation.

We do not expect you to tick every box, but you will ideally bring experience across several of the following areas:

  • Experience in Product Management within Io T, Energy Management, Smart Home or EV Charging environments.
  • Strong understanding of connected platforms, cloud architecture, APIs and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience working with OCPP protocols and connected energy technologies.
  • Ability to write detailed product requirements and functional specifications.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with globally distributed teams.
  • Experience with Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technologies.
  • Knowledge of OCPP v2.0/v2.1.
  • Familiarity with Solar PV and smart energy ecosystems.
  • Experience using Figma, Power BI or Microsoft Planner Premium.
  • Hands-on experience testing EV chargers, inverters or smart home energy products.
