Overview We are looking for a Product Designer to join the Sync Energy design team, to design and assist development of our EV chargers and smart energy products. Working alongside the Product Management and Testing Team to design, develop and test the next generation of products. Initial and final 3D CAD design of parts and ranges to utilise common parts and ease of manufacture for competitive costs. Prototyping, testing and iterative improvements towards the final design and production. Understanding project priorities on speed and cost to ensure projects are delivered on time and to correct requirements. Concept and Initial 3D designs to assist China PE teams. Reviewing final designs to ensure all options and 3rd party components are considered. Assess market competition by comparing the company’s products to the competition. Provide data for product information on internal systems. Assist in artwork creation to ensure correct product specification is communicated. Qualifications/Skills Required: A degree or qualification in Product Design, or a related field is preferred. Experience in Product design and development Experience in Plastic enclosures Experience in Sheet steel/metal design preferred Highly motivated and driven Proficient use and proven experience of 3D CAD software is critical (solidworks Preferred) Experience and knowledge of electronics is beneficial. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving. Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
