We’re hiring: Area Sales Manager – UK Trade

Field‑based | South West (BS, BA, DT, TA, EX, TQ, PL & TR postcodes)

The Role

You’ll take full ownership of a high‑potential territory, managing and developing key trade relationships while identifying new growth opportunities. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where performance, structure, and relationship‑building really matter.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering sales growth and budget performance across your territory
  • Developing long‑term relationships with existing and new trade customers
  • Managing commercial agreements and leading performance reviews
  • Working closely with the UK Trade Sales Director and wider sales leadership
  • Representing the business at customer events and off‑site activities
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales reporting

About You

You’re a results‑focused sales professional with strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage a territory autonomously.

Essential:

  • Proven track record of sales growth and customer development
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
  • Highly organised and comfortable working to targets and deadlines
  • Confident using IT systems (Excel & Word)
  • Flexible to travel and support customer events

Desirable:

  • Experience in a similar Area Sales Manager / trade sales role
  • Salesforce experience
  • Phocas or similar sales analytics tools
