We are seeking a reliable, motivated individual with a practical mindset and strong handyperson skills to support the day‑to‑day maintenance and upkeep of our Darlington workshop and surrounding grounds. The role requires someone who can work independently, take initiative, and confidently carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks.
Each day, you’ll be responsible for tasks such as:
- Carrying out small concreting and patch‑up jobs
- Hanging doors, repairing fly screens, and completing minor carpentry tasks
- Mowing and maintaining large lawn areas (ride‑on mower experience ideal)
- Performing basic plumbing repairs, including changing pumps and fixing damaged water lines
- Undertaking landscaping duties across the site, including trimming, routine garden upkeep, and gutter cleaning
- Painting and surface preparation
- Replacing light globes and performing minor building maintenance
- Operating chainsaws safely and effectively
- Completing general workshop and property upkeep tasks as required
- Carrying out cleaning of machinery and light vehicles/equipment, along with de‑stickering tasks
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong focus on working safely
- The ability to work unsupervised and manage your own daily workload
- Practical maintenance, gardening, and handyperson experience
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach
- Experience using a chainsaw safely
- A hands‑on attitude and the ability to multitask
- A White Card (preferred)
