Our major client is seeing a number of experienced SC Cleared Project Managers with proven experience as a dedicated Vulnerability Management leader. You will be acting as the hands-on operational lead for the Vulnerability Management Improvement Programme, taking direct ownership of the team's day-to-day deliverables and strategic realignment. This role is Inside IR35, with remote working, but occasional travel required to multiple sites. You must also hold current SC Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Workstream Leadership: Take end-to-end ownership of a dedicated vulnerability management improvement workstream, driving the delivery of strategic solutions independent of day-to-day operations.
- Rapid Delivery: Operate within a fast-paced environment (with initial 3-month delivery milestones) to implement tangible improvements to processes, tooling, or cross-functional engagement.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary bridge between the core Vulnerability Management team, IT Operations, and wider business units to ensure project deliverables are adopted smoothly without disrupting ongoing operational work.
- Governance & Tracking: Maintain robust project governance, tracking milestones, managing dependencies between the different vulnerability workstreams, and reporting progress to senior leadership.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify roadblocks—such as resource constraints or technical blockers within IT resolver groups—and develop swift mitigation strategies to keep your workstream on track.
Key skills
- Cyber Security Delivery Experience: Proven experience managing complex, fast-paced projects within Cyber Security, ideally with specific exposure to Vulnerability Management, patching lifecycles, or infrastructure remediation.
- Rapid Execution Mindset: The ability to parachute into an inflight, high-pressure environment, quickly understand the strategic objectives, and start delivering value immediately.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to manage competing priorities, overcome organisational challenges, and negotiate effectively with busy IT operations teams.
- Structured & Adaptable: Strong formal project management skills (Prince2, Agile, PMP) combined with the pragmatism to adapt your approach to suit a dynamic and stabilising environment.
- Resilience & Autonomy: The ability to work independently to drive your specific workstream while maintaining alignment with the Programme Lead and the other Project Managers.
