Our client has over 70 years experience and expertise within their sector and have a focus on quality, innovation and compliance. They are seeking a senior estimator to join their team.

The Job:

  • Liaise with Design, Commercial & Operations Teams to develop a Tendering Plan within Project / Client Deadlines
  • Assess tender information to fully understand the client requirements
  • On completion of tender review, engage with all internal departments and communicate all relevant commercial and technical requirements
  • Work with all internal and external parties to source reliable information and produce accurate and detailed cost information
  • Use all company systems to electronically manage, archive and store all project documentation (in line with company quality procedures)
  • Manage potential Estimating Risks effectively through the project cycle, clearly communicating any assumptions or qualifications under consideration to protect the interests of the company
  • Prepare detailed and auditable Quotations and Tenders of the highest quality and on time
  • Attend meetings with clients as required
  • Provide all required documentation to the internal teams as part of the Project Handover Process
  • Work with the Commercial, Design and Operational teams; Pre, Mid & Post tender to minimise risk
  • Assist in identifying changes and maximise contractual value from Project Extras / Variations

Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Confident with Excel and Word
  • Flexible and willing to work some evenings and weekends
  • Able to work and fit in well with the team
  • Previous experience in an estimating role and experience of ERP systems would be desirable but not essential
  • A clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for business travel
