The Board has overall control of the Charity and is responsible for oversight of its activities and for achievement of its charitable purposes. Assisi Animal Sanctuary provides care, rehabilitation, and lifelong refuge to animals in need, while promoting compassion and responsible animal care across the community.
As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction of the sanctuary and ensuring we continue to provide the highest standards of care for the animals. Trustees work together to:
- Support and shape the sanctuary's vision, mission, and long-term strategy
- Ensure the charity operates effectively, ethically, and in line with legal requirements
- Oversee governance, financial sustainability, and risk management
- Provide guidance and support to the management and volunteer teams
- Act as an ambassador for the sanctuary within the wider community
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Previous trustee experience is not essential; training and support will be provided. We are particularly interested in individuals with skills or experience in:
