What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a vital role in maintaining the performance and reliability of our equipment, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities
- Diagnose faults and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Monitor equipment performance following repairs
- Record all maintenance activities and parts usage via our CMMS system (EAM Infor)
- Communicate effectively with management regarding issues and updates
- Contribute to plant improvements and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
- Undertake training as required to perform daily tasks effectively
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Proven electrical maintenance experience
- Logical thinker with strong fault-finding skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-based systems
- Safety-focused mindset and proactive approach
Desirable:
- Experience in the tissue/paper industry
- Competence in electrical or mechanical maintenance
- Familiarity with PLC fault finding (Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
