The Role

The role will focus on delivering an ambitious roadmap spanning multiple workstreams, with the mission of reducing manual transactional tasks, allowing our team to focus on high-impact activities that deliver real value for our internal customers. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in People Operations (and/or other HR functions) paired with a proven track record of automating complex processes and building HR tools with AI. This role sits perfectly at the intersection of HR and AI technical skills, requiring hands-on proficiency with tools like Claude, OpenAI, MS Copilot, n8n and others.

What you'll do

  • Provide hands-on expertise in People Operations processes combined with advanced proficiency in AI and automation tools (Claude, Copilot, n8n, and similar), integrating these for workflow optimisation and innovation across the employee lifecycle.
  • Full mastery of end-to-end people processes, from onboarding to offboarding, performance management, and data governance, with the judgement to identify and prioritise the highest-value automation opportunities.
  • Drive the automation roadmap for People Operations delivering an ambitious programme spanning multiple workstreams with department-wide implications.
  • Create measurable improvements in internal stakeholder and candidate experience through optimised, AI-enabled processes.
  • Act as the bridge between People Operations and IT, managing complex technical stakeholder relationships to scope and integrate automation solutions.
  • Partner with the leadership team to shape the automation roadmap.
  • Take on team coordination and project delivery responsibilities.

What you bring to the table

  • Significant experience working in People Operations with direct, hands-on ownership of operational processes or project delivery.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional projects independently, end to end.
  • Experience using key people systems, such as HRIS and ATS platforms, to automate core people operations processes. Prior working experience with HiBob and Greenhouse is a plus.
  • Comfortable managing and prioritising incoming requests through a structured ticketing workflow (e.g. Jira).
  • Demonstrates ability to build AI tools or agents, with clear evidence of embedding AI into key workflows and processes.
  • Able to independently design, build, and test production-grade automations without engineering support (e.g. using tools such as n8n or Power Automate).
  • Understands how systems exchange data well enough to connect them and troubleshoot integrations.
  • Able to spot a recurring pain point and turn it into a tool or automation that gets genuinely adopted.
  • Clear and precise written and spoken English; additional European languages are an advantage.
