We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Childrens Support Workers to join our team supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children with autism and EBD
- Build trusting, positive relationships to promote emotional wellbeing and development
- Support children with routines, education, social activities, and life skills
- Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies where needed
- Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and care documentation
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Promote safeguarding, equality, and the rights of every child
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive outcomes
Requirements
- Experience working with children with Autism and/or EBD preferred
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care / Children & Young People (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach under pressure
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred but not essential
- Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
