We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers / Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our team across Liverpool and the Wirral, supporting children, young people and adults with a range of needs. Our services include leaving care, supported living, autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. We are looking for compassionate, reliable and experienced individuals who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
The Role
As a Support Worker/HCA, you will provide practical, emotional and personal support to individuals, helping them to live as independently as possible and achieve their personal goals. Depending on the service, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing person-centred care and support
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities
- Working with people with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs
- Supporting young people transitioning from care and those in leaving-care services
- Supporting adults in supported living environments
- Promoting independence, dignity and choice
- Following individual care and support plans
- Supporting with personal care where required
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns appropriately
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals
- Following safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience working in health and social care/support work
- Experience supporting children and/or adults with additional or complex needs
- A caring, patient and professional approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A DBS on the Update Service, or be willing and eligible to obtain a new DBS
- Full rights to work in the UK on a full-time basis
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends where required
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential. Non-drivers will also be considered depending on the service and location.
