We are currently recruiting compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Support Workers to work with children and young people across Liverpool and surrounding areas. This rewarding agency role involves supporting young people with a range of needs including:
- Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Leaving Care / Semi-Independent Living
You will work in residential homes, supported accommodation settings, and community environments, helping young people build independence, confidence, and positive life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing emotional and practical support to children and young people
- Promoting independence, structure, and positive routines
- Supporting with education, appointments, and daily activities
- Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable young people at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience working with children or young people in a care/support setting
- Experience supporting EBD, autism, LD, or leaving care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexible approach to shifts and travel
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
- Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
