We are looking for caring, dependable, and compassionate Support Workers to join our team within a residential care home setting, providing high-quality care and support to residents in a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment. This rewarding role involves helping residents maintain dignity, comfort, and independence while supporting their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to residents in line with individual care plans
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration, and daily living activities
  • Promote residents dignity, choice, privacy, and independence at all times
  • Support residents with emotional wellbeing and social engagement
  • Assist with activities and encourage participation in meaningful routines
  • Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff
  • Maintain accurate daily records and care documentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures

Requirements

  • Experience in care or support work preferred but not essential
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of person-centred care principles
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings/weekends where required
  • Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
