We are looking for caring, dependable, and compassionate Support Workers to join our team within a residential care home setting, providing high-quality care and support to residents in a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment. This rewarding role involves helping residents maintain dignity, comfort, and independence while supporting their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support to residents in line with individual care plans
- Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration, and daily living activities
- Promote residents dignity, choice, privacy, and independence at all times
- Support residents with emotional wellbeing and social engagement
- Assist with activities and encourage participation in meaningful routines
- Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff
- Maintain accurate daily records and care documentation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
- Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures
Requirements
- Experience in care or support work preferred but not essential
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of person-centred care principles
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings/weekends where required
- Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
