As Technology Development Manager you will work as part of a regional team (Technical, Commercial and Sales), primarily focused on the needs of the European market but builds awareness of trends and activities across the world. Focused on the development of new additive packages and demonstrating performance of these and existing packages to meet customer and OEM needs.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new additive packages for Driveline applications, primarily Off-Highway (OH) and Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies, with support across AT, MTF, and AGO as needed.
- Build and strengthen Lubrizol’s technical expertise in Driveline additives and serve as a key technical leader.
- Drive the creation of new products and globally aligned, regionally focused technology platforms.
- Develop fundamental knowledge to advance Driveline additives technology.
- Collaborate effectively with operations, R&D, testing teams, commercial partners, procurement, sales, OEMs, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance, formulation support, and application problem-solving to resolve field issues and anticipate customer and OEM needs.
- Support commercial, sales, and customer deployment teams with technical consulting.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead cross-functional project teams to deliver results on time and within cost expectations.
- Build and maintain strong customer and OEM relationships, delivering products that meet or exceed expectations, often demonstrated through OEM approvals.
- Stay ahead of market needs by understanding customer trends, relevant patent literature, regulatory developments, and industry insights.
- Collaborate with OEMs, tier suppliers, raw material suppliers, and external partners on new technology opportunities.
- Maintain strong connections with industry bodies, suppliers, and test labs to remain well-versed in emerging technologies.
- Deliver clear and compelling technical presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Partner with the Intellectual Property and Legal teams on Driveline-specific technology matters.
- Contribute to product integrity initiatives and continuous improvement of technical processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of technical experience in industrial lubricants, additives, specialty chemicals, or petrochemicals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Proven ability to work effectively within global, multifunctional teams.
- Self-driven, capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Achievement-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective presentation skills, able to convey technology solutions to diverse audiences.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Ability to travel up to 10% within Europe for OEM visits and industry conferences.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of vehicle design, OEM trends, and relevant legislation impacting Driveline technologies.
- Proven track record of successful project management and execution.
- Experience supporting intellectual property initiatives.
